Smooth paving delivers contemporary clean lines with natural stone character. Every slab is diamond-cut and mechanically honed to create a flat, refined surface with precision edges and tight 5-8mm joints — a modern alternative to the rustic texture of traditional riven sandstone.
Genuine Indian sandstone with a smooth, honed finish. The colour depth and natural variation of real stone are preserved — you still get the geological character — but the surface is flat and the edges are straight. Available in Kandla Grey, Raj Green, Fossil Mint, and Rippon Buff. Sawn sandstone shows colour more vividly than riven — the smooth surface intensifies the natural tones. 20mm calibrated thickness.
Best for contemporary patios, formal gardens, indoor-outdoor transitions where clean edges matter, and any setting where you want natural stone without the rustic texture. Read our riven vs sawn comparison to decide which finish suits your garden.
Smooth-finish porcelain with a refined matt surface. Zero maintenance — never needs sealing, stains wipe off, algae can't colonise the non-porous surface. Available in Kandla Grey and Mint. 20mm thick, R11 anti-slip rated, frost-proof. The most practical smooth surface for dining areas and high-traffic patios.
Choose sawn sandstone if you want real stone character with contemporary precision. Every slab is unique — the smooth surface shows the natural colour variation beautifully. Needs sealing every 3-5 years.
Choose smooth porcelain if you want zero maintenance and stain-proof performance. Consistent colour, no sealing, no annual cleaning needed. Read our full comparison.
