Large-format 900×600 porcelain is the most popular size for modern patios — and for good reason. Fewer joints mean a cleaner, more expansive surface that makes gardens feel bigger and more contemporary. Our 900×600 porcelain is 20mm thick, R11 anti-slip rated, frost-proof and completely stain-proof, available in Kandla Grey, Anthracite, and more, from £18.50/m² with free UK delivery.
The 900×600 size strikes the ideal balance for UK patios. It's large enough to create the clean, minimal-joint look of a modern garden, but light enough for two people to handle and lay without specialist equipment (unlike 1200×600, which is heavier and needs more careful levelling). On a typical patio, 900×600 has roughly half the joint lines of 600×600 — a noticeably more spacious, designed finish.
It's the natural choice for contemporary extensions, bi-fold door openings, and indoor-outdoor transitions where you want the paving to flow cleanly from the house into the garden.
Kandla Grey — cool silver-grey, the most popular contemporary choice. Pairs with anthracite bi-folds and modern furniture.
Anthracite Black & Anthracite Grey — bold, dark, high-contrast finishes for a premium, architectural look.
Light greys, creams and beiges — County Light Grey, Everest Beige, Himalayan White and more, for brighter, warmer or more neutral schemes.
Every colour is 20mm thick with the same R11 anti-slip rating and frost-proof performance — the choice is purely aesthetic.
Porcelain and natural sandstone both make excellent patios. Porcelain wins on maintenance: it's non-porous, so it's completely stain-proof (wine, oil, BBQ grease all wipe off), never needs sealing, and won't fade or change colour over decades. Natural stone wins on character and warmth. If you want a clean, modern, zero-maintenance surface, 900×600 porcelain is the answer.
900×600 porcelain starts from £18.50/m² including VAT, with free delivery across mainland UK. As a direct importer, we supply porcelain without the merchant markup. Want to see the exact colour and finish before you order? Order a sample to see it in your own light, wet and dry.
Each 900×600 slab covers 0.54m², so you need roughly 1.9 slabs per m². For a 20m² patio, that's about 38 slabs — always order 10% extra to allow for cuts and breakage.
No — all our 900×600 porcelain is R11 anti-slip rated, which means it provides reliable grip even when soaking wet. It's safe for patios, paths and around pools.
Yes, with care. Porcelain must be laid on a full mortar bed with an SBR primer slurry brushed onto the back of each slab (porcelain won't bond to mortar without it). The 900×600 size is manageable for two people. See our porcelain laying guide for the method.
No. Porcelain is non-porous and never needs sealing — that's its main advantage over natural stone. A simple rinse keeps it looking new.
Yes — free delivery across mainland UK from our Nottingham yard, typically within 2-5 working days. Trade customers can also collect from the yard.
