About Our Decor Porcelain Range
Decor porcelain paving slabs are for the detail that makes a patio memorable. While standard porcelain delivers clean colour and consistent surface, decorative porcelain adds geometric patterns, textured motifs, and visual interest that turns a functional patio into a designed outdoor space. Our decor porcelain range is priced at £23.11/m² — the same 20mm outdoor-grade porcelain with R11 anti-slip rating as our standard collection, but with surface patterns that create focal points, borders, and feature areas.
The collection features three distinctive patterns — Cerchio (circular geometric), Conical (angular geometric), and Fiore (floral motif) — all in 600x600 format with sawn edges for precise laying. Each pattern is available in neutral beige and grey tones that complement rather than compete with your main paving colour.
How To Use Decorative Porcelain Paving
Decor porcelain isn't designed to cover an entire patio — it's designed to accent one. Here's how landscapers and homeowners typically use patterned porcelain tiles outdoors:
Feature panel — Lay a 2x3 or 3x3 grid of decor tiles in the centre of a plain porcelain patio to create a focal point. This works particularly well with Kandla Grey or Anthracite Black as the surrounding plain colour.
Border strip — Use a single row of decor tiles as a decorative border between the main patio and lawn edge, or between two different paving zones (e.g. dining area and lounging area).
Pathway accent — Alternate decor tiles with plain tiles along a garden path for a patterned walkway that guides the eye through the garden.
Step risers — Cut decor tiles to fit step risers for a decorative detail that's visible from a distance and adds character to level changes.
Wall cladding insert — Decor porcelain can also be used as a feature insert within a plain porcelain or rendered garden wall.
Choosing Your Pattern
| Pattern | Style | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Cerchio | Circular geometric, concentric rings | Mediterranean gardens, classical feature panels, formal patios |
| Conical | Angular geometric, modern lines | Contemporary gardens, minimalist accent borders, modern architecture |
| Fiore | Floral motif, organic curves | Traditional gardens, cottage patios, decorative pathways |
Decision guide: Choose Cerchio for a classical, Mediterranean feel. Choose Conical for a clean, modern accent. Choose Fiore for softer, organic pattern interest. All three work best when used sparingly — a small amount of pattern creates a feature, too much creates visual noise.
Decor Porcelain vs Plain Porcelain — What's Different?
| Feature | Decor Porcelain | Plain Porcelain |
|---|---|---|
| Surface | Patterned / textured motif | Flat colour / stone-effect |
| Thickness | 20mm | 20mm |
| Slip rating | R11 | R11 |
| Size | 600x600 only | 600x600, 900x600, 1200x600 |

| Price | £23.11/m² | From £18/m² |
The specs are identical — same 20mm thickness, same R11 slip rating, same frost-proof vitrified porcelain. The only differences are the decorative surface pattern and the 600x600 single-size format. You can mix decor and plain porcelain on the same patio without worrying about thickness mismatch.

Decor Porcelain FAQs
What is decor porcelain paving? Decor porcelain is outdoor-grade porcelain paving with decorative surface patterns — geometric or floral motifs pressed into the tile surface. It's used as an accent rather than a full patio covering, creating feature panels, borders, and pathways within a larger plain porcelain or natural stone layout.
Can I use decor porcelain for an entire patio? You can, but we'd recommend using it selectively. An entire patio of patterned tiles can look visually busy. Decor porcelain works best as a feature — a central panel, a border strip, or a pathway accent — surrounded by plain porcelain in a complementary colour.
Does decor porcelain match standard porcelain thickness? Yes. Our decor porcelain is 20mm thick with sawn edges — identical to our standard porcelain range. You can lay decor tiles alongside plain porcelain on the same mortar bed without any height or edge mismatch.
What colours are available? The decor range is available in neutral beige and grey tones. These are deliberately neutral so they complement any main paving colour — from Kandla Grey and Anthracite Black to lighter stone-effect porcelain.
Is decor porcelain anti-slip? Yes. All three patterns carry an R11 anti-slip rating, the same as our standard outdoor porcelain. The surface patterns actually add extra texture that improves grip.
How many decor tiles do I need? It depends on how you're using them. A typical 2x3 feature panel needs 6 tiles (just over 2m²). A single-row border around a 20m² patio needs approximately 18–22 tiles. Order 10% extra for cuts and contingency.
Do you deliver decor porcelain across the UK? Yes. Free UK mainland delivery on all decor porcelain orders, dispatched from our Nottingham yard within 2–5 working days.
