Raj Green is Indian sandstone with personality. Every slab blends warm greens, earthy browns, cool greys, and flashes of purple-rust — no two are the same. It's the UK's second most popular sandstone after Kandla Grey, chosen by homeowners who want their patio to feel natural, warm, and full of geological character rather than uniform and predictable.
Colour that hides dirt. The multi-tonal palette means everyday marks, light stains, and natural weathering blend into the surface rather than standing out. Families, dog owners, and barbecue lovers benefit — Raj Green absorbs visual imperfections that lighter stones would show immediately.
Warm tones for red brick. The brown and rust accents complement red brick houses beautifully — the colours share the same warm palette. Where Kandla Grey creates contrast against brick, Raj Green creates harmony.
Dramatic wet transformation. After rain, the colours intensify — greens deepen to emerald, browns darken to chocolate, purple accents become vivid. Many homeowners say they prefer their Raj Green patio in the rain.
Riven (textured) — from £21/m²
Naturally split surface with hand-cut edges. The traditional choice — excellent grip, rustic character, and the most forgiving finish for DIY projects. Available in 900×600, 600×600, and mixed-size patio packs. 22mm calibrated thickness.
Sawn & Honed (smooth) — from £25/m²
Diamond-cut surface with precision edges. Contemporary finish that shows the colours more vividly — the greens and purples are more intense on a smooth surface. Tighter joints for a modern look. Available in 900×600 and patio packs. 20mm calibrated.
Cobbles & Setts
Raj Green setts (200×100mm) and cobbles (100×100mm) in handcut and tumbled finishes. Use as patio borders, path edging, driveway features, and material transition strips. The tumbled finish gives an aged, established appearance from day one.
Cottage gardens, period properties, red brick houses, established gardens with mature planting, and north-facing patios where the warm tones counteract cool light. Less suited to ultra-modern minimalist designs — for those, Kandla Grey or porcelain is a better match.
All Raj Green products include VAT and free UK mainland delivery. Order a sample to see the colour range in your own garden — and leave it outside for a few days to see how it changes in sun, shade, wet, and dry.
