RapidFlow: Brush-In Jointing for Porcelain Patios and Paths
ProJoint RapidFlow is a premixed, air-curing jointing compound for outdoor porcelain, natural stone and concrete paving. Supplied in a 12.5kg tub, it is designed specifically for pedestrian areas such as patios, walkways and garden paths.
Its brush-in application makes it an accessible, straightforward option for both homeowners and contractors. Crucially, it accommodates joints from 3mm wide, making it the ideal choice for the tighter, sharper joint spacing commonly specified with rectified porcelain paving slabs.
Key Bedding Requirement:
RapidFlow needs permeable bedding: water must be able to escape freely so the compound can dry and cure thoroughly. Always confirm that your patio sub-base and bedding mortar are permeable before ordering.
It is available from the manufacturer in Neutral/Buff, Light Grey, Mid Grey, Basalt and Black.

Titan: Epoxy Jointing for Natural Stone, Setts and Driveways
ProJoint Titan is a high-strength, two-part epoxy jointing compound supplied in a 22.5kg kit. It is suitable for natural stone and concrete slabs and setts, including paths, patios and appropriately engineered driveways.
The resin and sand come pre-mixed, with an enclosed hardener bottle added to trigger the chemical reaction. Once cured, the joints become exceptionally durable, frost-resistant, weed-suppressive and capable of enduring regular pressure washing.
Vehicle Load Capability (Up to 10 Tonnes)
Titan is rated for vehicle loads up to 10 tonnes, provided the paving, bedding layer and sub-base are engineered for that loading. Note: the jointing compound alone does not convert an under-specified base into a vehicle-rated driveway.
Titan requires joints at least 5mm wide and 25mm deep, and can be laid on either permeable or non-permeable bedding. Nexus’s technical documentation notes this formula for professional users only.
Important note on porcelain & stone: Titan is not suitable for porcelain paving. It can also temporarily darken or enhance natural stone and leave a noticeable resin sheen. Nexus recommends test-sampling a spare off-cut and applying its Pre-Grout Sealer before jointing.

Choosing Your Joint Colour

How Much Jointing Compound Will You Need?
Start with your slab dimensions and planned joint width and depth. Coverage is calculated specifically from slab size versus linear joint metres — meaning the same tub covers different square metre areas on different layouts.
Always consult the official coverage chart rather than guessing from patio area alone, especially when installing mixed patio packs or small-format setts where joint frequency is much higher.

Before Jointing Begins
| 1 | Confirm specifications. Have your installer verify the exact slab material, bedding mix, drainage falls, and joint depths prior to ordering. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use ProJoint Titan on porcelain paving?
No. Titan contains a two-part epoxy resin that leaves an unsightly resin sheen on non-porous porcelain surfaces. For outdoor porcelain paving, choose ProJoint RapidFlow.
Can RapidFlow be used on driveways?
No. ProJoint RapidFlow is rated for pedestrian traffic only (patios, garden pathways, and terraces). Driveways requiring vehicular load support should use ProJoint Titan.
What is the minimum joint width for each?
ProJoint RapidFlow works from narrow 3mm joints upwards, making it ideal for porcelain. ProJoint Titan requires a minimum joint width of 5mm and depth of 25mm.
Does ProJoint RapidFlow require permeable bedding?
Yes. Because RapidFlow cures in the presence of air, standing water beneath the joints prevents proper curing. Water must be able to drain away naturally through a permeable base.
