What's the difference between porcelain paving slabs and porcelain patio tiles? They're the same product — just different terminology. Landscapers usually say "slabs", homeowners often say "tiles". What matters is that the product is 20mm thick and rated for outdoor use. Thinner indoor porcelain floor tiles cannot be used on patios because they don't have the structural strength or the slip-resistant R11 finish.
