Natural stone paving brings character no manufactured product can replicate — every slab is unique in colour, texture and grain. This collection covers the full natural stone range we import directly: Indian sandstone, limestone, granite and slate, from £20/m² with free UK delivery. Whether you want the warmth of riven sandstone, the refinement of honed limestone, or the strength of granite, you'll find it here.
The natural stone materials we stock
Indian Sandstone — from £20/m²
The UK's most popular natural paving. Warm, characterful, available in six colours (Kandla Grey, Raj Green, Rippon Buff, Fossil Mint, Camel Dust, Autumn Brown) in both riven and sawn finishes. The most affordable natural stone and the easiest to lay.
Limestone — from £21/m²
Refined, fine-grained stone with subtle tonal variation. Kadapa Black, Kota Blue, Tandur Grey and premium Dijon Sinai. Suits both contemporary and traditional gardens where a clean, elegant finish matters.
Granite — from £27/m²
The hardest natural stone available. Flamed anti-slip surface, exceptional durability, ideal for high-traffic areas and driveways as well as patios. The longest-lasting option in the range.
Slate — from £25/m²
Deep charcoal and blue-black tones with natural riven texture. Creates a striking, contemporary contrast against planting and pale walls.
Why choose natural stone over porcelain?
Natural stone and porcelain both make excellent patios — the choice comes down to character versus consistency. Natural stone gives you genuine geological variation, warmth, and a surface that develops a patina over time. Porcelain gives you uniform colour, zero maintenance, and complete stain resistance. If you want a patio with natural character that ages gracefully, natural stone is the answer. If you want a consistent, maintenance-free finish, consider porcelain.
Sizes and finishes
Natural stone is available in single sizes (900x600, 600x600), large format (1200x600 in selected materials), and mixed patio packs that lay in a classic random pattern. Thickness ranges from 20mm (porcelain-comparable) to 22mm (sandstone and limestone). Riven finishes offer a textured, traditional surface with excellent grip; sawn and honed finishes give a smooth, contemporary look. Read our guide to choosing the right size.

Frequently asked questions
Which natural stone is best for a patio?
For most UK gardens, Indian sandstone offers the best balance of character, durability and value (from £20/m²). Choose limestone for a refined, contemporary finish, granite for maximum durability and driveways, or slate for a dramatic dark surface. All four last 30-50+ years when properly laid.
Is natural stone paving slippery when wet?
Riven natural stone has excellent natural grip even when wet, making it one of the safest paving surfaces. Sawn and honed finishes are smoother — still safe for general use, but riven is preferable for steps and sloped areas.
Does natural stone paving need sealing?
Sealing is optional but recommended for sandstone and limestone. A breathable sealer helps prevent staining and slows weathering. Granite and slate are denser and need sealing less often. Porcelain never needs sealing.
Do natural stone colours fade over time?
Natural stone doesn't fade in the way that dyed or printed materials do. Instead, it develops a softer, weathered patina over the years that many homeowners prefer. The stone's character deepens rather than diminishes.
Do you deliver natural stone paving UK-wide?
Yes — free delivery across mainland UK from our Nottingham yard, typically within 2-5 working days. Trade customers can also collect from the yard.
