DESCRIPTION
If you're stuck choosing a paving colour, Silver Grey is one of those safe bets that never really goes wrong. It's got enough warmth to avoid feeling cold or clinical, but stays neutral enough to work with pretty much any garden style you can think of. Basically, it's the gardening equivalent of a white t-shirt - classic, versatile, always looks right.
The Colour
Silver grey sits in that lovely middle ground - lighter than standard grey but not so pale it shows every speck of dirt. There's subtle variation across the tiles that gives it depth and stops it looking too manufactured or flat.
The stone-effect finish adds texture without being overly rustic, and the matt surface is particularly clever - no glare bouncing off it on sunny days, which makes a real difference if your patio gets full sun.
It's one of those colours that photographs beautifully but also just looks good in person. Brightens up outdoor spaces without being stark, and creates this nice sense of openness even in smaller gardens.
Will It Last?
Yeah, no worries there. These are proper 20 mm thick outdoor porcelain tiles - built to take whatever you throw at them. Frost doesn't bother them, rain's not an issue, and they're tough enough to handle dropped flowerpots, dragged furniture, kids playing football, the works.
The anti-slip surface is genuinely useful - even when it's wet, you've got decent grip. Important if you're carrying food and drinks outside or have elderly relatives visiting.
The 900×600 mm size means you're covering ground quickly. Fewer tiles to lay, fewer grout lines, cleaner overall look. Everyone wins.
Maintenance Reality Check
Here's the thing - porcelain is ridiculously easy to look after. That non-porous surface means spills and dirt sit on top rather than soaking in. Moss doesn't really establish itself. Algae struggles too.
Most people just sweep off leaves when they build up and give it an occasional wash with the hose. Maybe some soapy water if something's been spilled or you're having people round. That's genuinely it.
No sealing required (unlike limestone or sandstone where you're doing it every year or two). No special treatments. No panicking about whether you've left it too long. Just sweep when it needs it, wash occasionally, done.
The silver-grey tone is quite forgiving too - doesn't show marks as readily as very light colours, but stays bright enough to feel fresh.
Where It Shines
Silver Grey works pretty much anywhere, but it's particularly good for:
- Main patio and entertaining areas
- Garden paths that connect different zones
- Around French doors or bifold doors - creates nice flow
- Terraces where you want a bright, open feel
- Smaller spaces that benefit from lighter colours

Yes. You can request a later delivery date to suit your project schedule. Let us know at checkout or contact us once you’ve placed your order.
We strongly advise adding at least 10% extra to cover cuts, wastage, or damages. This also ensures you have matching slabs from the same batch as spares or for contingency.
Each pallet can weigh up to 1,000kg. We advise using proper great and safety equipment for unloading the slabs. Slabs weighing 20 kgs or more should be lifted by two people.
